The clever guy popped the question in a way sure to win the heart of this Craft Beer Girl, by hiding the ring at the bottom of a Dogfish Head “Heaven & Hell”. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the concoction, it’s a 50/50 blend of Dogfish Head’s 120 Minute IPA (15-20 ABV | 120 IBU) and World Wide Stout (15-20 ABV | 70 IBU). The blending of two colossal beers, both amazing in their own right, to create one harmonious, complex masterpiece not to be trifled with… it’s poetic.
Tasting beer and visiting breweries is something that JD and I enjoy together as a couple so you can be sure that the spirit of craft beer will close at hand as we plan our nuptials. We both like the idea of getting married in the Fall so we’ll likely have about a year and a half before the big day. So far this has allowed me to enjoy the moment without feeling the pressure of any planning just yet. Stay tuned to the blog along with my pinterest board for updates and wedding ideas!

Totally following your bard in pinterest…I need ideas!! yea!!
Nicole, thanks for stopping by! Are you engaged too? It’s super exciting but SO overwhelming for me! Also, congrats on your new website/business… I love to see people (women especially) getting out there and making things happen.
Cheers!
That’s so awesome!! And what a way to propose
Congrats!
Thanks! I LOVED his proposal! It was a total surprise (which I didn’t think he would be able to pull off!) So perfect for us
Congrats! Can’t wait for all the fun to start
Was the ring actually in the glass?
It was! I had no idea it was in there until there were just a few sips left and I saw it in the bottom… it was quite a surprise!
Well congratulations! I got into craft beer the year I was married (2008) and started homebrewing the year after we bought our house. It’s so enjoyable to see my wife talk beer with the boys.
I recommend you Elope and save your mother some money…
Congrats. Heck of a way to pop the question.
